Why This Reference Exists
Iowa generally treats current and prior arrest information as public, but that does not put every record in one database. The Van Buren County Sheriff's Office creates county booking records and operates the jail. Iowa Courts Online follows a case beyond the first allegation, while the Iowa Department of Corrections covers people sentenced to state custody or supervision. A Chapter 22 request may be needed when no public roster or photo feed exists. This site organizes those official routes and explains what each can establish. It publishes no booking-photo gallery of its own.
